“Bad Blood” at the Des Moines Building?

Tuesday, January 1st, 2008

TIME has come out with an interesting article today on the adjoining Des Moines headquarters of the Ron Paul and Mike Huckabee campaigns. As usual, the reporter gets it completely wrong, yet my prediction is that she will continute to pull a paycheck from a once-prestigious news magazine, possibly with a nice bonus for these [...]

The brats at Democratic Underground are concerned and worried about all the Ron Paul signs they’ve seen everywhere, so much so that they advise each other to take down any Ron Paul signs they come across: “just don’t get caught.” One poster does caution the other lemmings against stealing signs, not because it’s wrong or [...]

John Zogby: “Libertarianism is Hot”

Thursday, December 27th, 2007

John Zogby (the Zogby polling czar) writes about the Republicans’ chances in Iowa:
Ron Paul: He’s going to do better than anyone expects. Look to Paul to climb into the double-digits in Iowa. Why? He’s different, he stands out. He’s against the war and he has the one in four Republicans who oppose the war all [...]

In a move that will be sure to inflame many libertarian-minded freedom lovers everywhere, or which could be seen as further proof that our guy may just pull out the Republican nomination, a Libertarian Party candidate has filed to run against my man Ron Paul in his home congressional district in Texas. The head of [...]

Hillary Blames the Media

Saturday, December 22nd, 2007

Hillary Clinton is crying foul over her recent spate of bad media coverage, saying that the media is biased against her and therefore must want Barack Obama to win.
At least one hack agrees. “‘She’s just held to a different standard in every respect,’ says Mark Halperin, Time’s editor at large. ‘The press rooted for [...]

You Might Be a Ron Paul Junkie If…

Friday, December 21st, 2007

The folks at Ron Paul Forums decided to come up with some handy guidelines in case you want to know if you qualify as a “Ron Paul Junkie”. Some of them hit close to home, I’ll admit… OK, most of them!
First, some easy ones:
“You stay up every night posting on forums until 4am.”
“You Google Ron [...]

This morning on that fine show Fox and Friends, Ron Paul quoted Sinclair Lewis in reference to Mike Huckabee’s anything-but-subtle “is-it-a-cross-or-is-it-a-window-pane” ad, saying: “It reminds me of what Sinclair Lewis once said. He says, ‘when fascism comes to this country, it will be wrapped in the flag, carrying a cross.’ Now I don’t know whether [...]

Ron Paul, the $6 Million (In One Day) Man

Monday, December 17th, 2007

Ron Paul raised more than $6 million (exact numbers still being tallied) today during a “money bomb” his supporters created in honor of the anniversary of the Boston Tea Party. At midnight EST, Paul’s real-time donations ticker read $17,980,000, after beginning the day 24 hours earlier reading about $11.5 million.
Update: I’m told that the total [...]
