Amy King was just doing her job that day, like John William Perry and so many other people. She was a flight attendant on United Airlines Flight 175 bound for Chicago, which was crashed into the south tower that would ultimately collapse on Officer Perry. She was 29 years old and working the flight with a fellow flight attendant, Michael “Mac” Tarrou, who was her boyfriend of two years. They both loved music and flying. In Chicago during a layover, they were going to see her family, and they planned to move to Florida to be closer to his.
Amy often flew to Chicago to surprise her sisters’ kids. She loved fashion design, and her boyfriend had a 12-year-old daughter and “loved music and songs” and “lived a peaceful life.” King “was the person who would have thought of everybody else.” King and Tarrou were particularly close to the other United attendants based in Boston.
Some descriptions of the passengers on Flight 175 can be found here. There were seven flight attendants on the plane that day, and they will continue to be remembered as victims of a larger conflict that they had no part in, people who didn’t matter to the hijackers that day but do matter to us.
I went to high school with Amy. Such a tragedy. It’s been 9 years now, but I haven’t forgotten. God bless you Amy…

Now that Osama bin Laden was killed, justice has been served to Amy King and her boyfriend. I hope the bereaved family can get solace from the good news.

It may have been a long time ago, but all victims will be remembered by family, friends and many other concerned individuals all over the world.

Even after ten years I can still remember that day clearly in my mind and the chill I felt running down my spine when I saw it happen.

Today is the 10th anniversary in which Amy and her boyfriend were taken from us so tragically. I’m glad Osama Bin Laden is dead I hope and pray that Amy’s mom and Dad and Sisters and her boyfriend’s family get some kind of gratitude knowing that evil person is no longer breathing. I watched Amy grow up from across the street from her parents home and I have a Picture in my head from when she was a baby playing in her playpen with her mom watching and playing with her and my heart goes out to Sue and Stubb and sisters just know that you all have alot of people who love and always keep you guys in our prayers today and always. Gone but not forgotten and may you both rest in peace. It’s never good-bye it’s always Till we meet again.

The 9/11 tragedy is still fresh in my mind. It is really one of the worst tragedy ever. I pity to those families who were much affected with the tragedy. Let’s just praying for the souls who passed.

This tragedy affected my family like no other. Even though to my knowledge we didn’t know anyone personally that was lost, many were friends and family or our friends and family. One member of our family is still in therapy and on medication because of the impact this had on her. It was a dark day for sure. Never forget our lost loved ones.
