You can say whatever you like about Republicans– it’s certainly true that they chose a far superior animal symbol than the Democrats did. Can there be any question that elephants win out over donkeys, every time?

Donkeys and Elephants are both working animals why do you need to compare them? I saw a documentary on Discovery Channel about this donkey, abused by humans, who didn’t trust men, and than this guy was very patient with it, he kept sitting not far from it, until finally the donkey regained that trust. Than one day they were walking in the mountainous desert when a several wild dogs wanted to attack the guy, the donkey risked its life chasing away the wild dogs. I saw you also say something about relatively stupid cats and dogs in some guy’s blog, but I heard pretty amazing stories about cats as well, like the cat who saved the woman who rescued her when she fell unconscious because her blood sugar dropped and she forgot to inject insulin. This dog saved its owner from drowning. Pigs may be smarter, but dogs are loyal and sincere. A woman I know has vegetarian wolves for pets. I understand your intentions are good, but what’s with all bile, praising one animal at the expense of another … It’s not the Donkey’s fault Democrats arbitrarily chose it as their symbol. In fact Donkeys are know to be stubborn so they would make a more appropriate symbol for Republicans than Elephants, unless of course it stands for those intransigent Feministas. Although, Democratic Party wasn’t always the Liberal one. In fact Republicans freed the slaves. The women’s rights movement in the U.S. started as the Women’s KKK as a matter of fact. In any case we shouldn’t blame anyone including animals for our bad experiences with someone ELSE.
Regarding the Libertarian Alliance blog, unfortunately most Libertarians are pro meat, pro abortion and pro guns. They play the line drawing game, so they respect the Natural Law only when it suits them. Ayn Rand herself was like that. I think they are hypocrites and are just using objectivist rhetoric as an excuse. They don’t want to live an ETHICALLY selfish life, they just want to be plain selfish and piggish. But it’s good what you are doing, maybe you can make more of them see the light (assuming they actually care about what’s right).

They shouldn’t be working animals, they should be allowed to just do as they please.
If I said that cats and dogs are stupid, I said it only in relation to pigs. Pigs are probably the smartest animals besides primates such as humans and chimps, yet people eat them (and torture them) without even thinking for one second. Meanwhile, they love their dogs and cats and think they’re so great and even feed them pigs (who are more intelligent than the dogs or cats, by far). I think it’s disgusting, and I can sometimes get worked up over that. But I do love dogs, and cats are OK. I think they’re smarter than most people give them credit for.
I would say that members of both parties are just as stubborn as the other. The very fact that you become a member of a political party shows that you’re stubborn and a bit uncompromising.
The women’s rights movement did not start as the “Women’s KKK,” quite the opposite. The early feminists such as Lucretia Mott and Elizabeth Cady Stanton worked alongside the abolitionists, and the modern 1970s-style feminist movement began while women were working in the civil rights movement in the ’60s and were still treated like second-class citizens by men who said they wanted no one to be treated that way.
While yes, most libertarians/Libertarians are pro-meat as is most of society, you’re more likely to find vegetarian libertarians than you are among the general population. There are many pro-life libertarians.
Ayn Rand wasn’t really a libertarian (for example, she was very hawkish in foreign policy) and even publicly distanced herself from the Libertarian Party when it began. Her ideas are pretty libertarian, but you can be an Objectivist and not be libertarian.
