About

I care for kids, families, the sick and the elderly, working class, middle class, and every American. To end poverty and advance the American Dream, I am Libertarian Girl.

I was reading a fringe blogger today, who called Congressman Ron Paul “a fringe candidate” without mentioning him by name. That’s really amazing that a “fringe candidate” could come 3% away from placing 3rd in the first two major primaries of the election season.

I’ve had a couple different people tell me this week that Ron Paul had the best performance of anyone at the Fox News debate in South Carolina last week. Judge for yourself.

In this video, warning: you will see a racist/religionist comment by John McCain which the SC crowd at first greets with stunned silence before resorting to nervous laughter.

Personally, I think he had a home run performance, with Señor Huckabee kindly teeing one up so the good doctor could knock a question about Israel straight out of the ballpark. Huckabee looks so… chastened as the Good Doctor teaches him about how we give three times as many weapons to the Arab countries as we do to Israel.

One Response to “Ron Paul Wows in South Carolina”

  1. Katy’s Conservative Corner has now gone the way of the government and resorted to censorship because of those intelligent Ron Paul supporters who keep writing comments that… actually make sense! We can’t have that, now.

Here’s my comment that was deleted from this post at Katy’s blog:

(Right after Paladin’s comment on vote totals for GOP candidates so far)

“I am a minority myself, and I know a bigot when I see one. The good doctor is no bigot.

He is, as far as I know, the only candidate who 1.) has said that he would have a black vice-presidential candidate, and 2.) bases his philosophies of economics on three Jewish economists, Hayek, Rothbard and Mises.

I have seen some of the other GOP candidates making racist comments lately (one of them was my second-favorite choice and now is not because of that).

I also find this amusing in light of your praise of Jesse Helms, Katy. I’m watching his documentary on PBS right now, and many people think he was a bigot, yet you have praised him repeatedly. Interesting.”
